Ah! Toots Thielemans, the harmonica player. I went to one of his performances last year and I was amazed at how he makes the harmonica sound, even though it seems to be such a simple instrument. I was touched by his beautiful performance and even more amazed when I found out this man was still doing so many gigs at his age (85!).
I enjoyed hearing him talk of playing and creating together with these jazz legends. He made it sound as if it all happened just yesterday. He is an original authentic musician.. a living representative of that swinging past..
